Sport in Port Elizabeth
Port Elizabeth is the water sports capital of South Africa. From the World IronMan events, to surfing our epic Algoa Bay waves, Port Elizabeth is the sportsman’s playground.
We also have the magnificent Nelson Mandela Stadium which is home to Super Kings Rugby and the Port Elizabeth St Georges Cricket Stadium, home to the Warriors.
Our off road cycling tracks cater for all levels of mountain bikers and gives you a ‘back to nature’ feel.
Port Elizabeth hosts Africa’s largest family beach event, the Ocean Series, and African Premier Indian Ocean swim as well as the Bellbuoy 5km sea swim.
