Our Tours

Private Nature Reserve Guided Game Drive with a twist

Join us as we venture on a Guided Game Drive with an added for your pleasure, a Honey & Gin Tasting Experience all whilst indulging in the scenery around a Kouga Private Nature Reserve.

Picking you up early from your accommodation we travel to our tour location in approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, passing by Loerie.

This tranquil malaria-free Private Nature Reserve is nestled in the Loerie district, located between the Garden Route coastal road and Baviaanskloof Mega Park Reserve, about 30km from Jeffrey's Bay's famous beaches. Imagine open landscapes with breath-taking views of nature at her best.

Surrounded by nothing but nature, our visit takes us to the Reserve’s “The Venue”. Here we start with a sweet introduction into the life of a Honey Bee, their importance to nature, Farmers’ and our everyday lives followed by an actual tasting of their “liquid gold” which you will receive your very own samples of. Whilst the tasting proceeds, a 3-course light lunch is served all honey-infused of course. You’ll experience Honey as a recipe ingredient and perhaps even a secret or two on this might be shared with you!

Honey comes in different tones, tastes and textures. The Nature Reserve’s Pure Honey are all naturally raw, harvested, spun and bottled at the Reserve. You may never look at honey in the same way again.

After this sweet experience, we introduce you to the Reserves’ craft distilled Gin. Here you will be educated on this refreshing drink as well as sneak in some tastings for your enjoyment, unfortunately no take-away samples here but more than enough time to savour the Gins’ unique flavours.

Our next part of your tour takes you on a 2-hour captivated guided game drive with an experienced guide in an open Safari vehicle. Here we revel in the beautiful landscape with wild animals such as Giraffe, Sable, Golden Blue wildebeest, Black and or White Impala, Ostrich, Waterbuck, White Eland and Springbuck to mention a few, roaming freely in the Fynbos covered mountains between Hankey & Loerie.

Appetizers and beverages are served on your game drive adding an enjoyable & memorable experience for you.
